Join us March 21 as Denise Tawwab, CEO of NC Connected, Inc., shares how nonprofits can best use YouTube to help them with their work.

YouTube is a great place to engage your supporters and to get your organization's message out. This hands-on workshop will cover the basics of using YouTube to spread your message, to reach out to your constituents, and to partner with other organizations.

In this workshop you will:

1. Review the YouTube Nonprofit Partner program and find out how you can use it to further your cause.

2. Register for a non-profit partner account.

3. Customize Your YouTube Channel

4. Upload a video and add annotations.

5. Hear about how other nonprofits have successfully leveraged YouTube

Denise Tawwab is the CEO of NC Connected, Inc. a Raleigh-based nonprofit that teaches web design and internet technologies to girls from rural and underserved communities across North Carolina. In 2009 Denise started a social media training firm called Bus 23. At Bus 23 we teach businesses/nonprofits to leverage tools like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube to connect with their customers, clients, and other constituents. Denise loves having tools that level the playing field so that a small nonprofit can reach an audience that it could have only dreamed of reaching a few years ago. She also gets a major kick out of helping people overcome the fear of "Web 2.0" tools and showing them what's possible. Many people are able to see the potential gain but are stymied by the fear of trying and failing. Denise tells her clients to jump in, fail fast and fall forward.
