NE:Tech - May - With Jon McNestrie
Details
Working in a team has changed considerably over the last year. We've been forced to adapt and explore new ways of working in order to face the difficult situation head on. However, these challenging times can and do have an impact on our mental health.
For our May meetup, we have Jon McNestrie joining us who is set to discuss how leadership has evolved in order to help teams move forward in a remote world, support mental health and what we can expect for the future.
NE:Tech will be hosted online via the attached Zoom link. Although we would like to return to face-to-face meetups, the health and safety of our members is a top priority. We are paying close attention to the government guidelines and will return to physical meetups when it is safe and sensible to do so.
A little about Jon and his talk:
Jon McNestrie - Team and Leadership Coach
- Do leaders dream of mental well-being? *
Over the last year, leading teams and indeed being part of them has been a little different. We'll look at how leaders can help teams to cope with difficult times. We'll explore how the role of leaders and managers in tech teams has changed in a remote world, and consider the mental health continuum and really looking after people. Let's also have a little peek into what might come next as we start to get back together in the real world.
About Jon:
Jon is a professional coach, agile aficionado and Lego enthusiast. Helping individuals, leaders and teams to work better together. Organiser of Agile North East & often seen hanging around the North East tech scene.
