What we're about

A social network of artists, and persons who seek art modeling opportunities... Are you an artist who needs a model for an fine art project? (photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, lifecasting) Are you looking for information about area life drawing classes, or open studios? Is your open studio looking to promote attendance with a Meetup? Is your life drawing group in need of life models? Are you an artist looking to team up with other artists to hire a model? Are you looking for opportunities to be an art model? (experienced or beginner) Can you host a Figure Drawing or Photography workshop? If the answer to any of these is yes, then this is your group!

Life Drawing Monday Evenings in Harvard Square

First Parrish Church in Harvard Square

This session meets weekly and is open to people at all levels of drawing ability. It is an opportunity to draw some of Boston's most talented figure models in a beautiful, relaxed and supportive environment. We meet at 3 Church Street, in the heart of Harvard Square, 1/2 a block from the T. Time: 6:30 - 9:30pm. Drop In: $20.

Draw the Figure at BFAC Studio

Boston Figurative Art Center,

Come draw some dynamic poses with us at BFAC studio- we do shorter poses here, 5 minutes to start, and ranging through 10, 20, and 30 minute poses.

$25 - drop-in fee (you can prepay for entire month at $20 per session $20x4=$80); $15 for students with a current student ID

Please RSVP here and pay on-line at http://bostonfigurecenter.org/credit-card-payment/

RSVPing helps us know how many people to expect, and saves time for drawing during the session. Please be sure to RSVP; if you don't, the session is subject to cancellation.

Parking on-street is legal for two hours for people without Somerville parking permits, BUT WE PREFER THAT YOU PARK IN THE LOT AROUND BACK, WHICH IS OPEN till about 11PM. The building is a working factory, so the lot is monitored and safe, though it is a bit of a walk around the building to the front door. Please do not leave your car in the lot past 11pm or so, or on Saturdays past three pm, as they lock the gate if there is not late shift and your car will be locked in until the next shift starts at the factory (which could be Monday).
