What we're about

Hikers Unite! Short hikes, long hikes, easy hikes, moderate hikes, strenuous hikes, kid friendly hikes and dog friendly hikes! The mission is to provide a variety of hikes for hikers of all abilities to get together, enjoy nature and perhaps burn off a few calories in the process.

All hikers participate at their own risk. Hiking should always be within your comfort and skill level. Please read the Meetup description carefully and email the event organizer if you have any question about your ability to complete the hike or other event. By signing up for a hike or other event you are stating that you are physically able to complete the event listed. You are responsible for your own safety and assume all risks and liabilities on all outings. Event organizers are unpaid volunteers and should not be relied upon to have any special skills or training.

Intermediate Hike

Lagoon Picnic Area, Rocky River Reservation (Off of Valley Parkway, between Cedar Point and Spafford roads)

Meet at Lagoon parking lot. We will leave at 9:35 for 4-4.5 mile hike. Some inclines & hills, logs to climb over & many tree roots; not for beginners. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes/boots. This hike is at your own risk.

Taco Tuesday Bike Ride North on the Towpath - Ride / Walk

Meet on the towpath near Yours Truly. Try to arrive early, we leave at 5:30pm sharp.

The group will ride for about 35 minutes North, then turn around. Mileage will depend on your individual pace. (Most people ride to the Tremont area overlook and back). This section of the towpath is all paved.

By joining this event, you assume full responsibility for your safety and for maintenance of your own bicycle.

After the ride, there is an on-your-own option to go to the Oak Barrel for Taco Tuesdays. Enjoy $3 and $4 tacos.

3 Miles x 3 Miles Per Hr (3x3) Hike - Brecksville Leisure Hikes

Brecksville Nature Center

We will leave promptly at 6:25 PM; beginning our LEISURE hike in/around the nature center and end on the APT - All Purpose Trail. As always - hike at your own risk. This is not a beginner hike - no strollers, walkers or those needing individual assistance. Stay hydrated please. Join us for a relaxed pace 3 miles at 3 MPH (optional to 5.0 mile) hike by the Brecksville Nature Center/Harriet Keeler Memorial Picnic Pavilion. Rating: Leisure++ due to hills, and uneven terrain. Distance: 3 Miles, Optional mile(s) add-on, for those wanting to increase endurance Speed: 3 mph, 20 minutes per mile.

No Dogs.

(SR 21) in Brecksville; right on Chippewa Creek Dr. at park entrance; continue past Meadows Dr. to parking area for Brecksville Nature Center, on right. 7:45 PM, Creekside Restaurant They reserve tables for us in the bar area.
