It's human nature to find new ways to decrease uncertainty. Ironically, it's the technology underlying one of the most uncertain and volatile markets that will help us be more certain of our interactions with one another.

We've grown accustomed to putting our trust in institutions like banks and escrow services due to our mutual distrust of one another. The problem with such centralized services is that manipulation can go unseen due to the closed-door nature of most institutions.

Now we have technology at our fingertips that turns our mutual distrust to our advantage. Everyone can watch; everyone can enforce the rules; and if someone tries to cheat, everyone can see it.
