Our speaker this month is Jason Washo. Jason is the Owner and Chief Architect at Sho Technology Solutions, Adjunct Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Scranton, and a software developer with 15 years of experience. Jason is a Northeast Pennsylvania native who has dedicated himself to finding ways to give back to the community.
Jason will be speaking with us about a passion topic of his. Jason helps out on the tech side with the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Pennsylvania, a local non-profit. Jason will tell us a bit about the Boys and Girls Club, and then invite us to help out our local chapter with an exciting tech project that can involve any and all of you who are willing to donate a few hours a month to a great cause.
This will be NEPA Tech's first community project! It will take up only a very little of everyone's time, and there are a wide variety of opportunities to contribute: writing, design, architecture, social media, project management, client engagement, etc.
I hope you can be part of this!
As always, the presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Then the group will head over to a nearby establishment (probably The Backyard Alehouse in Scranton) to continue the conversation and camaraderie.
