Developing Apps for SharePoint 2013 with Visual Studio 2012

Abstract

If you have heard something about the new app model in SharePoint 2013, but you are wondering how you can really build the apps, then welcome to this excellent adventure through the Visual Studio 2012 tools. In this session, you will learn how to best use Office Developer Tools for Visual Studio 2012 to build great apps for SharePoint. In this demo heavy session we will explore the SharePoint development experience and see the first class support for common app features including client web parts, custom actions, remote event receivers, and more. You will also see how to use TFS for apps for SharePoint continuous integration.

Xiaoying Guo is a program manager working on the Office Developer Tools team in Visual Studio. She has worked on Visual Studio since 2007, and focused on SharePoint developer tools features in Visual Studio 2012 for SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013, including the tooling to build SharePoint 2010 solutions, and apps for SharePoint 2013.
