This group is for people who would like to experience yoga for the first time.
The Beginner Naked Yoga Course is a 6-week foundational class that will help you feel comfortable in your body and familiar with the practice of Yoga. We will explore physical alignment to safely move through the poses (asanas), and simple breathing exercises (pranayama) to help you build strength, increase flexibility, and practice mindfulness, all in the nude. As always in the Clapham North studio on a Monday from 8 to 9:30pm, the course will run from Oct 29th to Dec 3rd and is open to both men and women of all colours, shapes, sizes and sexual orientations.
The session is a 90 minutes of gentle yoga and will be held from Monday 29th October to Monday 3rd December in a studio located at only 5 minutes walking distance from Clapham North Underground Station from 8 to 9:30pm, the full address will be given upon booking.
Is a mixed-gender class though no specific gender balance, either way, can be guaranteed, nor is aimed for.
No previous yoga experience is required, you will work at your own pace, following the teacher's verbal as well as hands-on guidance. Asana (postures).
Yoga mats will be arranged in a horseshoe or circular pattern around the teacher so that each person faces the teacher but is not looking directly at other people – and nobody is behind you.
Please bring your mat, if you don't have a mat you can borrow one at the venue but a towel needs to be placed on top for protection.
The venue will be comfortably heated, I suggest to bring a bottle of water to the class.
A shower downstairs is available for use after class. Please bring your own towel.
You must be over 18 years of age to attend any mixed-gender class.
Photography, staring and all physical contacts are strictly prohibited (except that your instructor may assist you into, out of, or improve a posture), please let your teacher know if you don't want to be adjusted at the beginning of the class.
-Any misconduct will result in the immediate exclusion.-
“To be comfortable in your own skin is the beginning of strength.”
“Motivations are the acceptance of one's own body with all its imperfections and to open one's heart. Naked yoga often symbolizes separation from worldly possessions and helps those who practice it to calm their active mind, which is one of the main aims of yoga practice and is often hard to achieve.”
