NES development with the help of JavaScript - Fritz van Deventer
The NES remains one of the most popular retro consoles and certainly started a few of the most popular franchises. In this day and age it's still quite complex to get started with development. I will talk about some of the pains and also show some ways to use JavaScript to get started more easily.

About Fritz:
I'm Fritz. I love dipping my toes in all kinds of things as a creator of digital and analogue things. With the band Cheeses of Mexico that means: music and videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy_hPonFO9g), as well as games (https://github.com/fritzvd/mexicombat). As a developer it means creating Flood simulation models at www.3di.nu (http://www.3di.nu/). As a hobbyist it means working in the wee hours of night developing stuff for the NES, or making sourdough bread.
The Mythical Creatures of Summer of Code - Pilar Huidobro
How can I make a lasting contribution to tech that will grow into something much bigger than just me and the tools I use?
The answer to that question is also the answer to the question: How can I change someone’s life?
In this talk we will look at Team Tessie’s magical adventures in Rails Girls Summer of Code and the effect on the amazing people that made this happen.
