What we're about
"Building a more sustainable and just community and economy".
This is a group for anyone who is interested in and wants to learn more about worker-owned businesses and worker-owned business models.
Our goal is to develop our base of knowledge about worker-ownership and help support the creation and growth of worker-owned businesses in Northern New Mexico. Our long-range vision is to see worker-ownership become a force for systemic change in our workplaces and economy, fostering widespread worker empowerment and workplace democracy.
We pursue this through readings, movie screenings, recorded lectures and guest speakers - coming together monthly to review, discuss, digest, and explore the information we are exposed to and to discuss how these ideas could work here in Northern New Mexico to help foster the development of and support for cooperative enterprises.
If you share our desire to foster worker empowerment, create more just and democratic workplaces, and expand the cooperative economy, and want to work together toward realizing such a future, come join us!
