Religious Freedom Day Parade in Fredericksburg (Sun 1/13)
Fredericksburg Secular Humanists (FSH) will be holding a Religious Freedom Day Parade in Fredericksburg, this Sunday the 13th. Anyone that wants to participate can march with FSH behind the "Fredericksburg Coalition of Reason" banner, either by RSVP'ing through one of our member groups or just by showing up. We expect to get some media coverage.

Fredericksburg Coalition of Reason press releases about the parade and United Coalition of Reason's billboard campaign for us and the new "Blue Ridge" chapter:

Some photos and write-up of last year's event (and, yes, that's Stephanie helping to carry the banner with us):

Also, we will have speaker at a late lunch after the ceremony at the monument, namely, U.S. Army Captain Ryan Jean, who is pushing for the military to grant him the status of secular "lay leader" adjunct to the military chaplaincy. Too late for people to order lunch at this point but I imagine there will be room for people to attend to hear the speaker. Info at:

Sorry for the short notice, but go be part of the event if you can. The weather should be unseasonably warm and it should be fun.
