HM: DARPA Software Defined Radio Hackfest

Programmer, electronics engineers, and ham radio hobbiests join us for a talk on Software Defined Radio (SDR) Learn about this new technology in radio from our speaker Tom Roneau of DARPA. SDR is opening new ways for programming wireless systems, whether they are UAVs or internet-connected household appliances, software radio can provide the foundation for many future capabilities. This Hackfest provides an opportunity to make a big step in that exciting direction.

Dr. Tom Rondeau joined DARPA as a program manager in the Microsystems Technology Office in May 2016. His research interests include adaptive and reconfigurable radios, improving the development cycle for new signal-processing techniques, and creating general purpose electromagnetic systems.
