WW: Intro to Woodworking - Cutting Boards (Day 1 of 2)

2-Day class: 7 shop hours. Friday 7pm to 10pm and Sun 10 am to 2 pm
Sign-offs: SawStop Table Saw, Jointer, Planer, Miter Saw, Band Saw, Disk/Belt Sander, Oscillating Sander, Drill Press, Small Band Saw, Scroll Saw.
Have you ever wanted to learn woodworking, but didn't know where to start? In this course, build a beautiful wood cutting board while learning the ins-and-outs of the major woodworking machines in the woodshop. Students will learn to use both Nova Labs' Red and Yellow woodworking tools. Both sessions are required for tool sign-offs!
Project: Long-Grain Cutting Board
Prerequisites: Nova Labs Green Orientation Sign-Off (http://www.nova-labs.org/wiki/faqs)
Safety Requirements: Students must dress appropriately for work in the shop: comfortable closed toed shoes, natural (wool, cotton, leather) fiber clothes, no loose clothing, tied back hair (& beard). Personal safety equipment (eye protection & hearing protection recommended)
