Three methods of working short rows
Learn to knit short rows three ways: German, wrap and turn, and Japanese! In this workshop, students will work on the Short Row Sampler cowl, an easy pattern that provides students a chance to learn and practice three ways of working short rows. Then, students can compare the results of the three methods and evaluate their benefits and drawbacks. Never be intimidated by
short rows again!

Minimum student age: 14
Materials needed:
US Size 6 16-inch circular needle; at least 7 removable stitch markers, one distinct from the others; DK weight yarn in 3 colors, about 100 yards of each color; a copy of the Short Row Sampler Cowl pattern, available on Ravelry for $5.
NOTE: There is homework for this class!
Begin your cowl. Follow the directions under INSTRUCTIONS on page 3 of the pattern until you have worked the 5-round welt, then knit 3 rounds.
