A microvideo is a short, lightweight video meant to quickly capture ideas and get them in front of an audience in a way that is different from a PowerPoint or white paper.
Here's two examples of microvideos:
Microvideos make great additions to storyboarding exercises or graphic recordings. They surprise and engage viewers. Microvideos can communicate a large amount of information quickly. Microvideos can help achieve a shared understanding more quickly than slideshows, providing more space and context for meaningful discussion.
In this Meetup, we'll go over how to create a microvideo and how to facilitate your participants in creating their own microvideos. We'll also look at variations and special effects for microvideos, including time lapse drawing and simple editing using the iMovie app.
If we have time and there's interest, we can also cover whiteboard animation tips for both hand-drawn and digital videos.
What to Bring:

We'll be using an iPhone to demonstrate microvideos, but if you don't have an iPhone, don't let that stop you from participating: most of the effects and processes we'll cover can be done using any smart phone.
