**************
Has your client said any of these things to you recently:

• “Can you incorporate design thinking into the offsite? I heard it’s pretty powerful.”

• “Do you know anything about design thinking… we want to do that at our offsite.”

• “We have another facilitator who will be doing some design thinking exercises… can you graphic record those too?”

Requests like these are increasingly common. At this NOVA Scribes IN PERSON Meetup, OGSystems’ Visioneering team lead Ben Tinker – local graphic facilitator, lettering expert, and design “tink-er” – will break down human-centered design, graphic-facilitator-style.

Human-centered design is a problem-solving framework that leverages kinesthetic and visual practices to serve people – a suitable complement to graphic facilitation. Ben will cover the tenets of human-centered design and lead participants through the design and implementation of a sample facilitation.

Participants can expect to walk away with:

• An understanding of human-centered design

• Human-centered design tools for visual practitioners

Participants should be prepared to:

• Have fun

• Learn through doing

• Contribute to the conversation and dialogue

Please bring:

• Yourself

• Your favorite note-taking materials (activity materials will be provided)

Our normal pizza and beer will be provided.

Parking Information / Directions:

• After turning off of Park Meadow Dr., you will see two buildings in front of you in an "L" shape; the OGSystems building is the one that is closest to you as you are driving in. Park in any open, unmarked space or in a visitor space.

• Enter the building on the first floor. A greeter will be waiting to let you into the space (or use the buzzer); proceed past the receptionist desk and turn left (do NOT go to the second floor). Proceed past "the pub" and through the garage door into "ideaSpace."
