Getting Started with Visual Strategic Planning

Using visuals to facilitate the strategic planning process will take your facilitation or visual practice to the next level. Thousands of businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations conduct strategic planning processes each year. You can create a win-win by offering visual strategic planning. You’ll help them be more effective while you build your business (or internal reputation). Learn how in this dynamic workshop.

In this webinar, you’ll get an overview of one approach to a strategic planning process. You’ll also learn visual tools to help groups make the best decisions for their organizations.*

Participants will:
• Understand what strategic planning is and what it can include
• Learn visual approaches for strategic planning
• Experiment with visual approaches to gain insight on their own businesses or work within their companies
• Get practical tips and resource recommendations to help you put your learning into action

This workshop is appropriate for:
• Practicing graphic facilitators, all levels, who would like to advance their strategic planning toolkit
• Graphic recorders who want to learn a few essential facilitation approaches
• Facilitators (independent or within organizations) interested in adding visuals to their toolkit

Class materials will be distributed no later than April 16. We’ll ask you to print and use them for a quick pre-workshop homework assignment, as well as during the workshop itself. The homework will take about 30 minutes; however, you can still attend even if you cannot prepare.

About the Instructor
Caryn Ginsberg (priorityventures.com, @priorityv) has 20+ years experience leading strategic planning sessions. Her clients have included Fortune 500 companies, leading nonprofits and smaller organizations. She has been an instructor in marketing strategy in the MBA program at Johns Hopkins University. She has also taught strategic planning for Humane Society University.
