PILOT - Sketchnote Side-by-Side with Mike Rohde

Details
Ever want to skateboard with Tony Hawk? Tell jokes with Eddie Murphy? Eat dinner with David Chang? Talk books with Oprah? Learn a card trick from Penn & Teller?
Yeah. This is like that.
Mike Rohde invented sketchnotes.
He is the creator of the Sketchnote Handbook, the Sketchnote Workbook, the Sketchnote Ideabook, and the Sketchnote Army podcast and the Sketchnote Army community of practice. Like everyone else these days, he's taking his practice online. And he's partnering with NOVA Scribes to pilot a new workshop where he'll share:
- Basic principles of sketchnoting,
- 7 layouts, templates, and hierarchy, and
- White space, spacing, and where to put things.
Then, you'll see him demonstrate LIVE as he sketchnotes a brief presentation. He'll deconstruct his thought process, walking step-by-step through each decisions and each mark on the paper.
And if you sketchnote along with Mike and want to share your work, he'll offer specific advice and feedback to up your game. (Time permitting - he'll get to as many as he can!)
So please join us. Because you might not be able to jam on guitar with the Stones, but you can sketchnote with Mike.
*****************
This will be an online workshop. You're not REALLY "side-by-side" with Mike. Social distancing, after all.
*****************
If you'd like to share your sketchnotes, please be ready to do so either by showing your notes to your webcam with good lighting or sharing them digitally as a document in Zoom Chat. Test either option in advance.
*****************
We will be recording this webinar, and after some light video editing, we’ll post this video on YouTube to make it available to anyone who would like to view it. You do not have to register to view the recorded webinar. But if you CAN attend live, please do! You'll be able to participate, and it helps support future events.
