What we're about
NSCoder Ottawa is a friendly, monthly meetup of iOS and Mac (and WatchOS!) developers. It’s a chance to chat, write some code, ask questions, and learn something new.
Who is NSCoder for? NSCoder is open to absolutely everyone, whether you’re new to programming or a salty old-timer.
What should I bring? A project, an idea, code, questions, or just yourself. If you need inspiration, we've been organizing some fun group ideas to hack on (like a SpriteKit-based Keyboard Extension). But bring a laptop! NSCoder is a night for writing code.
Are there presentations? Nope. It’s a relaxed, chatty evening. However, there’s a very active CocoaHeads (http://www.meetup.com/Ottawa-Gatineau-CocoaHeads/) group in Ottawa with terrific presentations every month.
Do you do Swift? Do we do Swift!? NSCoder Ottawa was an active participant in last summer’s Summer of Swift, and we’ve been writing a lot of Swift code since then. But Objective-C (or any other language you’re using) is as welcome as could be.
