B or Higher - Indoor Volleyball CENTRE CLUB GURNEE

Cost is $6 - Pay at the front counter when you enter.  The $6 fee includes use of the gym court, running track, pool, weight room, etc.

There are 2 nets available. There is a 24 player RSVP limit to ensure we don't have too many attendees.  You must RSVP if you plan to attend.  Please don't show up if you're not RSVP'd.  There is a wait list in case the event fills up.  Meetup will notify you automatically if a spot opens up, and it will automatically RSVP you (first come, first served).

If you can't make it, please adjust your RSVP so someone can take the spot.  If you repeatedly no-show, we'll remove your ability to RSVP for events.

Please make sure you have all your stuff out of the locker room PRIOR to 10PM.  The gym closes at 10, and you need to be ready to walk out with your stuff at 10.  Not 10:05.

Please make sure you are B or higher. Here is the definition from this Meet-up group:

B: Players at this level and above are competitive and play year round. Play is skilled, but needs to improve in consistency.  Each player can pass, set, and attack, but there are some issues with control and speed. Players pass and set to a target at a rate of over 85%. They serve with power and accuracy (but not yet for aces or return errors). Most attacks are hit downward with power – landing generally in the back third of the court. Periodically, roll shots and dinks are also seen. Single blocks are attempted on almost every attack, and occasionally double blocks are executed successfully. Everybody here knows the game well, sees the whole court in order to execute plays.

REC players should not attend.

If you aren't SURE that this event is appropriate for you, please ask prior to attending.  If a REC player does attend, a notice will be sent requesting they not attend this event again until they meet the skill requirement.  If the request is ignored, they'll be removed from the group.

I have 1 video so far, edited - no downtime, just action and bonus slo-mo of some of the hits. 1080p should be on soon. I'll upload the rest in the next days.

Hello good people! I hope all is well. I'm writing this message to reiterate the importance of knowing that Tuesday night volleyball is a B or higher /competitive Vball night. We've worked hard to get two courts for Sundays and Tuesdays. The reason for that is to give equal opportunity to all players to play some Volleyball. With that said, if you're unsure that you're a competitive B or higher Vball player, please omit your name from the RSVP and sign up for Sundays, so then the event hosts can help you determine your status. Again it's been extremely difficult to get a single night of competitive play within the suburbs with two courts and I've got to be strict on the type of play that we play on Tuesdays. Thanks for your understanding, please let me know if you have any questions. Paul
