What’s the incentive? Shifting to outcomes-based ecosystem services markets

Details
After a flurry of interest from our last AusAgitech Meetup on soil carbon markets, we’ve decided to hone in on how markets for ecosystem services should be designed to answer the question: how can we shift from practice-based schemes to focus more on outcomes and rewards for farmers?
Join us for this VIRTUAL meetup on Thursday March 18th at 5pm AEDT
ON THE PANEL:
*Richard Heath - Executive Director, Australian Farm Institute
*Rob Waterworth - CEO, FLINTpro
*Paul Scoullar -Strategic Sourcing Manager, Mars
The conversation will be facilitated by Sarah Nolet of Tenacious Ventures and The Agthentic Group.
This live panel discussion will explore:
*How can enabling technologies increase farmer participation and ensure verified outcomes?
*Who will pay for ecosystem services so that farmers alone do not need to bear the costs of practice changes? Will it be food companies, agribusiness firms, big emitters, or?
*How can we design better incentives and build winning business models to increase participation?
