Women's NVC Practice Group - Now Forming

Women's NVC Practice Group - Now Forming

Details

Our Voices, Our Bodies, Our Relationships.

An NVC group for women seeking nourishing and authentic relationship with other women.

This group is a safe place to bring up issues related to body image, showing up fully in romantic relationships, the desire to balance self-care with care for others, and creating multi-dimensional intimacy, etc. Ultimately, you are welcome here, with all that stirs in you about what the heck it means to be a woman on this earth today.

Come, you powerful, alive, brilliant women: Together we will harness the wisdom of NVC to transition from shame to self-love; to cultivate unconditional regard for our bodies, exactly as they are; to practice showing up in our simplicity – no shows, tricks, or hooks needed; and to speak our truth with unwavering clarity.

In this 6-week series, we will support one another in healing, going deep, releasing old stories in exchange for new possibilities, and living in "needs consciousness" for the sake of learning to love ourselves just as we are.

The When's and Where's

GROUP 1:
Wednesday nights, 7-9pm in Berkeley
6 weeks: June 5th - July 10th

GROUP 2:
Thursday nights, 7-9pm in San Francisco (Mission District)
6 weeks: June 6th - July 11th

You are free to join either or both groups.

I kindly request a contribution in the amount of $100-$120 per person for each series.

What happens in a Shameless Heart NVC practice group?

Each gathering includes:

> A short guided meditation
> Group check-in and requests
> At least one skill-building exercise
> Open NVC practice

Practice consists of offering empathy to individual members, coaching in self-empathy, role playing challenging conversations in our lives, enemy image work, and self-integration practice. Perhaps most importantly, we practice needs consciousness in the way we relate to one another in real-time.

We go slow. We shamelessly share our jackals. We scream in giraffe. Sometimes we even sing songs! But the main idea is to soften and love ourselves just a little bit more each and every time.

In the words of former groupies...

"I feel like these meetings are a place where I can go to see miracles and am using them to make miracles happen in my life." - K.M.

“This group has been so helpful for me. It’s not only giving me tools for communicating with others, but perhaps more importantly, giving me insights into my own inner world and the ongoing dialogue that takes place there. It has been also been greatly supporting my client work in my private practice. The permission and encouragement to focus on needs is really life changing.” – A.R.

”Your fresh, creative approach and your sparkling energy is renewing my interest. I never thought I would ever want to hear the ‘basics’ again. I like the games and the fun way you approach teaching.” - S.G., Former NVC Teacher

“Nourishing, soulful, heartfelt, profound… more fully in myself as a result.” - J.C.

"Marina, I so appreciate your continuing to hold this sacred, healing space. I love your gentle, fierce non-violent passion, focus, and commitment, and loving, embodied presence. I feel so safe, held, and inspired with you, sparkling, mischievous, and brilliant at the helm." - R.K.

"I enjoy the way Marina invites the group to reflect on what's most alive in them, and creates the space to include it, no matter what it is, joyful, difficult, scary, or shameful. She is great and super skilled in NVC. I highly recommend her practice group." - J.D.

"My experiences in the group opened me to a new level of patience and presence that I have not experienced through sitting in men's groups." - M.F.

"Your NVC practice group has met my needs for understanding and empathic support, and increased my feelings of closeness with others and deepened my immediate sense of community. Thank you so much for your loving and support presence." - J.N.
