Seventh annual Triple D
Details
Join us for the seventh annual Triple D! While we're keeping the same basic format we will have volunteers at each trail head for rides and first aid as needed.
We had some fast hikers last year. Boomer did Dog Mountain in 1:27, Mount Defiance in 4:16 and Devil's Rest in 1:36.
Difficulty: Very difficult due to length and elevation gain
Distance: 25 miles
Elevation gain: 10,000 feet

Bring: Light pack for each hike, lots of snacks and food for in between the hikes, water, electrolytes. Ten essentials. Don't forget a head lamp for the final stretch.
Gas: About 120 miles, $12 for gas.
Format: We'll divide in to groups by speed. The format we used the last couple of years worked well.

The hike:
Dog Mountain: Up and down the regular route. Each team decides if they want to use the “difficult” or “more difficult” trail.
Mount Defiance: Up and down Defiance Trail.
Devil's Rest: Wahkeena Falls TH.

PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Northwest Wilderness Group organizers are volunteers. We come prepared to lead you on a trail or off trail hike but assume no liability for your safety getting to or from the trailhead or on the hike. In case of accident, illness, or other incapacity, hikers must pay for their own medical and/or evacuation expenses, whether or not the hiker has specifically authorized them.
