Unity3D is an amazing 3D (and 2D) creation software that has changed the face of the gaming industry. It hits that sweet spot for software tools -- it's easy and accessible for beginners to get started in game development, yet robust enough that experts can use it to create professional content. The NWA Unity User Group exists to bring together like-minded individuals with an interest in using Unity for game development or 3D visualization.
The NWA Unity User Group, which typically meets in Fayetteville, is hosting a meeting in Bentonville this month to promote regional participation, especially from agencies and designers working on the future of retail.
Come learn about the role of the Unity game engine in brand storytelling and consumer experience at the intersection of physical and digital space in new retail, especially Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and 3D interactive eCommerce. The meeting is open to members and non-members--all that is required is an interest in how immersive and game-like experiences are transforming how we shop.

Welcome to the monthly Game Club meeting! Similar to a book club format, everyone who would like to participate will vote on a game to play each month and play it over the next 2-3 weeks until everyone meets to discuss and analyze the game.
The goal of the game club is to provide exposure to a wide variety of games, strengthen the participant's ability to critically analyze the games they play, and share these opinions in order to learn lessons from other games that can be applied to their own.
The schedule for this month is:
6/16-6/22: Voting on which game to play out of 4. (Link below)
6/22: Announcement of winning game
7/11: Meeting and discussion!
Voting is CLOSED! This month we will be playing and discussing Wandersong!
There is also a slack channel in the official NWA Unity User Group slack for the game club. If you need an invite to the slack, ask me or any of the other NWA Unity User Group organizers!
Can't play the game because of Cost/Console/Etc?
That's fine! Your participation in the discussion can still be valuable. If you can, try to familiarize yourself with the game where you can, or watch somebody else play it.
Having trouble analyzing a game?
Don't worry, there's no exact "right" way to analyze a game, and what you focus on will probably change from person to person. However, if you feel like you're having trouble coming up with things to say, or having trouble figuring out why you do or don't like something, try taking a look at some of these resources, which may help you get started:
