What we're about

Become an NWACycling Assistant Organizer! Organize your own rides! It's easy!
--

This is is a place for people who like to ride medium distances (25-50 miles) but who aren't racers (although individual racers are certainly welcome). It's primarily fitness/social oriented (i.e., "no drop," within reason). Shorter, beginner rides and recreational mountain bike rides are being added, too!

Do you lead organized, regularly scheduled rides in northwest Arkansas? I paid the fee to get this page running, so, please, take advantage of the super-easy meetup tools. Ping me and I will be glad to make you an assistant organizer. Consider this your one-stop shop for all the recreational rides in the area.

I have no interest in collecting dues or starting my own club.

Three Times Around Pea Ridge Battlefield

Pea Ridge National Military Park | Visitor Center

The loop around Pea Ridge Battlefield Park is 6.5 miles. Traffic is virtually non-existent because the visitor's center is closed (COVID). I have seen mainly walkers and joggers and cyclists in the evenings. We will circle the park three times for a total of 20-ish miles and meet back afterwards in the parking lot. If you don't feel like doing 20, you can just do one or two laps. This has proven to be a very pretty and peaceful route. There are some hills, so be sure your brakes are in good working order. Park at the visitor's center. Bring lights! Watch for deer!

Momentary 20

The Momentary

We will meet at the Momentary and ride 10 miles out and back (approximately) on the Greenway route (a total of 20-ish miles). Pace will be a relaxed 12 mph. Bring water, spare tubes, lights, etc. It shouldn't be dark-dark yet, but will be getting there.
