What we're about

Become an NWACycling Assistant Organizer! Organize your own rides! It's easy!
--

This is is a place for people who like to ride medium distances (25-50 miles) but who aren't racers (although individual racers are certainly welcome). It's primarily fitness/social oriented (i.e., "no drop," within reason). Shorter, beginner rides and recreational mountain bike rides are being added, too!

Do you lead organized, regularly scheduled rides in northwest Arkansas? I paid the fee to get this page running, so, please, take advantage of the super-easy meetup tools. Ping me and I will be glad to make you an assistant organizer. Consider this your one-stop shop for all the recreational rides in the area.

I have no interest in collecting dues or starting my own club.

Happy cycling,

Jack Pate

Tuesday Night Lowell Ride

Harps Food Store

The Tuesday night ride starts at 6 pm, departing from the parking lot of Harp's on Hwy 264, or Monroe Ave, just west of I-49 (exit 78). We'll do 15-20 miles, no drop, 12-15 mph, going north or south, and then seek out a restaurant / bar afterwards for a little refreshment. Please be sure to use the Meetup RSVP function for signaling your attendance -- and also any cancellations. If you aren't showing and haven't changed your RSVP, you are making everybody wait for you. In any case, we will leave Harp's no later than 6:05 pm. Also please bring a spare tube in case you have a blow-out. There's no guarantee your riding mates will have extra tubes or patch kits -- or that a bike store will be open near the trail if you need it.

Thursday Night Jaunt

Hawg Wash

I've moved the start time to 6:00 p.m. Daylight saving time starts so it's time for us to get restarted!!! Let's meet at Hawg Wash and take the "traditional route". Head north on Scull Creek Trail then turn onto Mud Creek trail and follow it to the end. We usually stop at then end for a few minutes and then return. As an option some of us may stop by the Fossil Cove Brewary (about 1 mile from starting and stopping spot) by the trail to partake of some liquid refreshment and a snack before heading back to Hawg Wash. Or if you want you can park at Fossil Cove and meet us at Hawg Wash. This ride will be at a moderate pace, average around 10-12 mph maybe. Very casual and easy though. Overall it is about 11 miles.
