Hello friends!

We're back from our summer hiatus with a new location and an awesome lineup of speakers. Thanks to General Assembly (https://generalassemb.ly) for hosting us at their office in Flatiron.

Shout out to our friends at Rush Order for sponsoring this month's meetup. Rush Order (https://rushorder.com) provides global warehousing, multi-channel order fulfillment, and in house customer support for hardware startups to large enterprises. They have a warehouse located upstate!

Here's the agenda for the evening:

6:00 - 6:30pm: Arrival, food, mingling

6:30 - 6:40pm: Welcome & notes

6:45 - 7:05pm: Noelle Francois and Eric Skiff. Noelle is Executive Director of Heatseek (https://www.heatseek.org), a non-profit that, with the help of Eric's Tanooki Labs, makes affordable temperature sensors for New York City tenants to track, record, and report ambient temperature in their apartments. Eric is also a co-founder of NYC Resistor (http://www.nycresistor.com), the Brooklyn hackerspace.

7:10 - 7:30pm: Gil Kazimirov. Gil is the New York General Manager for Lime (https://www.li.me), the dockless electric scooter and e-bike provider. Before Lime, he served as Operations Manager at Uber where he launched and managed Uber's Black and Premium products in the Northeast.

7:35 - 7:55pm: Shaun Arora. Shaun is Managing Director of MiLA Capital (https://mila.vc/). MiLA believes that hardware startups can be built in a capital efficient manner and invests in promising companies at the earliest stages.

8:00 - 8:20pm: Kaiwei Teng. Kai is the co-founder & CEO of Light, the company behind the Light Phone (https://www.thelightphone.com). Kai believes the right technology can empower us to be our best selves and appreciate life more, and Light Phone is leading the charge against today’s hyperconnected digital culture.

8:25 - on: Community announcements and networking.

See you soon!
