Hey hardwarians,

You’re still in time to see our fantastic array of speakers this Wednesday at the next hardware meetup. RSVP here - it may just change your life.

It's with glee that I include below a bunch of hardware-centric workshops going on in the next few days and weeks – go forth and learn!

Events and Workshops:

  • NY Designs is organizing some free workshops (for the first few registrants) on some of the most useful tools for hardware prototype development: (i) Laser cutting 3D objects , Dates: Tuesday, April 5, 5pm - 7pm, Code: HEWLCD; (ii) Intro to CAD and 3D Printing, Dates: Thursday, April 7, 5pm - 7pm; Tuesday, April 12,[masked]pm - 7pm, Code: HEWCAD.
  • The Next Top Makers Folks are putting on a special workshop on design for manufacturing on April 20th where they will help you understand what it takes to put your bill of materials together, finalize your prototype for manufacturing and choosing your manufacturing partners.
  • There is a special 1-day course entitled: “IoT for Managers” which will teach managers about IoT technology and how to leverage the Internet of Things to transform their business. This meetup gets a 33% discount with the code 33hwstartups
  • New Lab is accepting resident member applications in their amazing co-working spaces in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Hardware-centric companies should apply here.

  • Radiator Labs, a former presenter to the NY Hardware meetup that was recently profiled in The New York Times is looking for a VP Engineering type role. They need someone with engineering management experience, ideally with a hardware/software SAAS background.
  • Combat Sensei, LLC. a gaming hardware startup similar in nature to Sabertron and Magnetag is seeking technical help to develop a proof of concept prototype. Please email all inquiries to Eduardo Matos: [address removed]

Keep building!
