Quantopian Hackathon

The Quantopian Hackathon is a free, quantitative finance competition that will run from 11:00AM ~ 4PM in New York City. The hackathon is sponsored by Qineqt (https://www.qineqt.com/) and EventVestor (http://www.eventvestor.com/).

Quants, data scientists, students, and anyone else interested in quant finance, are welcome to participate.

Participants will learn, create, and compete with strategies developed on the Quantopian platform. Winners will be determined using a rigorous, quantitative judging process by team members from Quantopian (https://www.quantopian.com/).

Prize

The winner of this hackathon will receive a cash prize of $400.00, one ticket to the main QuantCon NYC conference (http://quantcon.com/)( http://quantcon.com/ ) on April 29, 2017, and a consultation session on your strategy submission.

Hackathon Agenda

11:00AM – 11:30AM: Introduction to Quantopian and explanation of Hackathon rules
11:30AM – 12:30PM: Hackathon Start. Competitors will be free to ask Quantopian panelist questions.
12:30PM – 1:00PM: Lunch
1:00PM - 3:00PM: Hackathon Afternoon Session. Competitors will be free to ask Quantopian panelists questions.
3:00PM - 4:00PM: Final announcement of 3:30 submission deadline
