Lair East Labs is a NYC-based startup accelerator empowering founder worldwide to expand in US and Asia. At the heart of Lair East Labs lies the 10-week accelerator program, in which we help invest capital ($50K) and accelerate 10 -12 startups each year who are ready to explore and take on our program. In the first two years of operation, the companies have raised $27 million after completing the accelerator program.

Howard Xu is an investor at TCV, a technology growth equity / VC fund with over $15Bn AUM and previous investments in Facebook, Netflix, Airbnb, Ariba and LinkedIn among others. Howard has also worked as a VC investor at Insight Venture Partners and ZhenFund and as an operator at the mixed reality startup Magic Leap. He’s passionate about enterprise and consumer technology innovations that transform everyone’s life.

Nick Adams is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Differential Ventures and an Investor on ZeeTV's new startup fundraising show 'Break Through the Crowd.' Previously, Nick was a Venture Partner at Supernode.vc, f.k.a. Flatiron Investors, in New York City where he evaluated seed- stage SaaS companies and led the due diligence for multiple investments. Before moving into Venture Capital, Nick held senior sales, marketing and product management roles for software companies that have realized over $1.3 billion in exit value, including: Opower (IPO), RAGE Frameworks (acquired by Genpact), Basware (Publicly-traded on OMX), and Comverge (acquired by Itron). He actively mentors startups out of Cornell Tech, NYU, Northeastern University and the German Tech Accelerator.

Gillian Munson is a partner at Union Square Ventures, one of New York’s premier venture capital firms. The firm manages assets totaling $1 billion and has invested in companies like Coinbase, Twitter, Meetup and more. Prior to joining, Gillian was the CFO of XO Group (parent of The Knot), a public company, which she and her team sold in late 2018. Gillian’s career includes tenures as an equity analyst, a M&A leader, and a banker and early stage investor.

Erika Cheung once worked for Theranos, the $9 billion startup that was supposed to revolutionize the blood testing industry. She helped shed light on the company's allegedly faulty technology and inaccurate testing results. The woman at the head of the startup, Elizabeth Holmes, is now facing charges of fraud and allegations she knowingly misled investors into giving her more than $700 million for Theranos. Erika Cheung and second whistleblower, Tyler Shultz, have launched an organization that teaches ethical practices and decision-making to entrepreneurs building their own companies. The organization, called Ethics in Entrepreneurship, focuses on young entrepreneurs who are just starting their businesses.
