Bio: As the Director of Data Visualization at GfK Custom Research (a global market research firm http://www.gfkamerica.com ), Bitsy designs data visualization applications to tell compelling stories about research data. In addition to developing new methodologies and templates for current GfK design processes, she also educates colleagues on current and emergent visualization tools, techniques and best practices.

Demo Description: This quick visualization allows exploration of eight data points over five years for nearly 1,700 NYC public schools. Demo Description: A presentation of StockMapper ( http://stockmapper-staging.herokuapp.com ), a tool for financial data visualization. We can visualize as many as 2000 stocks at a glance using d3; with a look at some of the techniques used to render and smoothly animate a whole bunch of DOM elements at once.

Bio: UI designer, developer and co-founder of Two-N, a NYC-based data-viz agency whose recent clients include NYSE, Bloomberg and http://Demos.org .
