We're back at Frame.io for December, and we're excited to welcome Chris Bell back to the podium to talk to us about using GraphQL to build SaaS products.

## About the presentation

In this talk we'll take a look at building a SaaS backend API utilizing Elixir, Phoenix and Absinthe. We'll take an in-depth look at what it means to build a real-world SaaS application with Elixir.

We'll be covering:

  • Authorization & Authentication
  • Some GraphQL pointers for best practices
  • Helpful libraries to use along the way

## About Chris

Chris Bell is widely involved in the Elixir community. In addition to the presentations he's given at NYC Elixir, he's also presented at multiple Elixir conferences, is one of the organizers of EMPEX NYC, and hosts the ElixirTalk podcast. Chris' English accent gives credibility to his every utterance. He is the CTO for Muru, Inc., building products that put life-saving information in the hands of emergency responders.
