Welcome to NYC FILMMAKERS & ACTORS COLLECTIVE. In NYC, there are approximately 100,000 filmmakers, 60,000 actors, 250 acting schools, and countless film students. Most of them still take classes, send resumes, work temp jobs, check Craigslist, and wait for their BIG BREAK. Our mission is simple: Network, Share, and Educate. We bring together filmmakers, producers, directors, actors, writers, cameramen, and editors to share their experience, polish their skills, and help each other through networking events, seminars and workshops. Filmmaking is a collaborative process, and we are here to foster and nurture that collaboration. With so many filmmakers and actors in NYC who work from big budget movies to student films, this group aims to give you an edge in the congested world of New York filmmaking. Through a series of events, we’ll cover every part of the filmmaking process; some with guest speakers, others in production facilities, but all aiming to bring our professional experience and knowledge to our members, and build a network of talented filmmakers and performers.
