Check this video, courtesy of Thrillist, on Chef Michael’s Mac n Cheese destination, Macbar… About Chef Michael Chef Michael Ferraro is the Executive Chef and Partner at Delicatessen, and founder of Macbar, a restaurant fully dedicated to gourmet macaroni & cheese. Michael Ferraro’s culinary career began early on, inspired by his Southern Italian parents and their love and respect for quality and tradition. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America at age 20, Ferraro sought opportunities to further develop his own creativity. He’s served at such establishments as Beacon Restaurant under Chef Wald Malouf, Jean-Georges, Four Seasons Hotel, Fifty Seven Fifty Seven, the Biltmore Room under Chef Gary Robbins, Cafe Centro, and Fresh in Tribeca. A member of Zagat’s inaugural class of “30 Under 30” in 2011, Ferraro has also achieved numerous wins in New York City Wine and Food Festival. He’s also a recurring Chef Expert alongside Jon Taffer on Spike TV’s hit series Bar Rescue, a judge on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay, and has also been featured on CBS, ABC, NBC, VH1, WPIX, Travel Channel, Iron Chef America, the Cooking Channel and Chopped on Food Network. About Macbar Macbar, founded by Delicatessen’s Chef & Partner, Michael Ferraro, offers a dozen varieties of gourmet mac 'n' cheese — everything from “mac stroganoff” to “mac lobsta” to “Mayan chipotle.” No bacon-wrapped–macaroni fritters on a stick, as we predicted, but there is a carbonara variety. The joint only seats ten, so the focus will be on takeout and delivery. Of course, the Delicatessen team has gotten some trendy types involved: Vans is outfitting servers with custom shoes, and medium and large orders come in colorful macaroni-shaped plastic bowls by package designer Ron Lerner. -NYMag

What we're about

This group is dedicated to helping others experience the best dishes (not restaurants -- its the dish that tastes good or bad, not the restaurant!) in NYC. Together, we'll experience trying new food and drink around NYC - Often at a discount - with groups of fellow foodies.

Note this meetup group is sponsored by, a food-tech company focused on helping you find the best tasting food that meets your dietary preferences at any restaurant you go to!

I look forward to seeing you at one of our events!

Kind regards,
