Speaker

Bonnie Eisenman (http://blog.bonnieeisenman.com/speaking/) is a Software engineer, author, aspiring polyglot. Member of NYC Resistor and author of Learning React Native. (http://bit.ly/lrnamaff)

Description

Learn how React Native can enable you to build high-quality, natively-rendering iOS and Android apps, using a cross-platform JavaScript codebase. I'll discuss what it's like to build applications with React Native, and how it differs from existing cross-platform approaches to writing mobile apps. Attendees will leave with a solid grasp of React Native principles and a sense of whether it's a good choice for their next mobile project.

Useful for anyone who has an interest in React Native or mobile development in general! I'll be discussing React Native at a high level. In particular, mobile developers who have never worked with JavaScript, and JavaScript developers who haven't done much mobile should find the talk useful.

For the curious, Bonnie covers similar issues here (http://www.infoq.com/articles/react-native-introduction)
