What we're about

This group is to help connect women in the LGBTQ community and do fun activities in and around NYC. Have a fun event you'd like to participate in and propose to others in the group? Just contact me and I'll help you get the event set up and posted on the group's home page.

Our events cater to LGBTQ women who are looking to openly connect with other women and have a fun time while doing it!

There will also be some fun LGBTQ women only trips, so why not join us?!

Simply put, it’s a fun, structured way to connect with women who are equally excited about connecting with you. All we ask is that you bring an open mind, an open heart, and a desire to mix and mingle with a new group of beautiful women.

Group Rates and Rush Tickets, Off-Broadway Production, A Letter to Harvey Milk

*This Meetup repeats every weekend.* Come experience the Off-Broadway Production, A Letter to Harvey Milk, for only $25 (Tickets are valued at $79). Rush tickets now available 30 minutes prior to show time up until show time at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row Studios! These are subject for availability! A Letter To Harvey Milk tells the story of Harry, an amiable but lonely retired kosher butcher, and Barbara, his young lesbian writing teacher. When Harry fulfills a writing assignment to compose a letter to someone from his past who’s dead, he writes not to his late wife Frannie, but to Harvey Milk, the first openly gay political leader in California. This musical — with its soaring score and deeply-felt, surprisingly funny lyrics — deals with issues of friendship and loss, the grip of the past, and the hard-won acceptance set in motion by the most unexpected people. Group rates are also available in advance for $35 a person for groups of 12 or more! If you can get a group together, we would need for ONE person to agree to pay with a credit card in order to get the group rate! We would then discuss a date and time, and move forward with securing these tickets with the box office! Our show times are as follows: Tuesday: 7:00 PM Wednesday: 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM Thursday: 7:00 PM Friday: 8:00 PM Saturday: 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM Sunday: 3:00 PM For more information, contact me (Natalie Brock) at [masked].

Tuscany/Umbria Villa Stay! (2 weeks / 4 weeks)

Villa Podere Baiocco

Enjoy life at a slower pace as you soak up the culture, food and amazing vistas of the Italian countryside. Head to local markets to pick out some cheese and wine and stroll through narrow passageways that take you back to medieval times. Ride a bike or take a leisurely walk to back to the 18th century luxury villa while passing olive groves during an amazing Tuscan sunset. This is the Italy that few tourists get to see! Email [masked] if you are interested or have questions. These are not LGBTQ specific trips, but all are welcome! Usually about a quarter to half of everyone on each trip are LGBTQ travelers. There are 2 options for this trip a 2 week trip (15 days / 14 nights) or a 4 week trip (28 days / 27 nights). See below for some information. For more details, check out the websites! 2 WEEK TRIP Dates : - May 4 - 18, 2019 *2 rooms left! - May 18 - June 1, 2019 *4 rooms left! - August 24 - September 7, 2019 *2 rooms left! Cost : $2700 (excluding flights) Single Supplement : $650 Details : http://globe-drifters.com/tour/tuscany-umbria-villa-2-weeks/ 4 WEEK TRIP Dates : May 4 - June 1, 2019 *2 rooms left! Cost : $3300 (excluding flights) Single Supplement : $1000 Details : http://globe-drifters.com/tour/tuscany-umbria-villa/ There will be a local host/concierge available daily to help arrange activities, excursions, etc. If you want to rent a bike or car, tour a balsamic vinegar factory, visit a saffron farm or anything else, the concierge can get it set up for you! There’ll also be a list of things to do available at the villa. Our villa, Villa Baiocco, was built in the early 1700s and recently renovated into a luxury holiday home with 7 rooms in the main villa, each with a private, full bathroom. It’s on almost 5 acres of beautifully kept gardens and fields and also has 2 swimming pools. The villa is on the Tuscan/Umbrian border, halfway between Florence and Rome, so it’s perfectly located to explore lots of nearby places. Villa Baiocco is about 1 km from Città della Pieve (approx. 15 mins. on foot). It’s a charming town with just over 7,000 residents. There are several eateries and cafes to choose from and its grand wall that dates back to the 1300s is magnificent. Città della Pieve has won the Pio Alferano 1st Prize as the most perfect town in Italy and it’s only 1 km from our villa! Most other villas in Tuscany/Umbria are about 5 - 15 km to the closest town. So a car would be needed for the duration of the trip which is a very expensive additional cost. Other villages within walking distance from other villas only have 100 or so residents and lack basic amenities such as banks as well as restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Our villa is perfect thanks to its close proximity to the town. We’ll most likely be the only visitors there which makes it a great escape from the droves of tourists in nearby cities. May and August are great times to visit this area as all the cafes and restaurants open their outdoor terraces. Upon arrival, there’ll be a welcome dinner to get to know each other. In the villa’s main salon, there will be a community board to post/suggest any ideas, activities or announcements. For example, if you would like to host an aperitivo before dinner one night, you can add this announcement to the whiteboard. Or maybe you want to enjoy a pizza and pool day. Our villa has a traditional wood-fired pizza oven on the patio, so if you want to invite the others, you can just post a note on the board. When more people join, the cost of that activity is less! It is your choice in what activities you want to participate, but you are free to plan events, host dinners or organize trips/excursions for the group or just for yourself. What is included : 14 / 27 nights accommodation (Double occupancy) Local Italian guide/concierge International airport pick-up Breakfast served daily Welcome dinner If you are interested or have questions, please email : [masked]
