"The NYC Political Forum" Pages

Q: Why should I join this group?

A: Because you:

1) Have a passionate interest in politics;

2) Enjoy discussing public policy matters; and

3) Maintain a keen interest in foreign affairs / international relations.

The NYC Political Forum is a nonpartisan, all-inclusive discussion group that welcomes all New Yorkers to gather and exchange their passionate views on public policy matters, notwithstanding one's political ideologies.

Our regular monthly meetup usually include a discussion of the following:

• Local news in NYC and the greater metropolitan area.

• Domestic politics and public policies of national significance.

• International relations and foreign affairs.

For our side events, we conduct in-depth discussions of the following: political philosophies and theories; historical subject matters; geopolitical case studies; the Constitution and court decisions; and other public policy matters. We now also have "book club" discussions, based on the selected reading material from a book.

While we welcome dissent and although we don't shy away from controversial, hot-button issues, we always strive for a respectful, civil discourse — therefore, we have a zero-tolerance policy for personal, ad hominem attacks, or demagoguery.

If all of the above fits your interests, you've definitely come to the right place!
