Ever wonder where all your local Starbucks are located in relation to you or how you can analyze the upcoming presidential election, or wanted to understand the basics of a recommendation system?
In this workshop, we will go through a few short examples to get users familiar with an API, mapping, and some data correlations.
We will add updates as the workshop approaches about which software packages to install in preparation. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Instructor bio:
Katya Vasilaky is a postdoc in applied economics at Columbia University and Pyladies co-organizer. She works on experimental design, causal inference and data related to economic development. She's worked in over a dozen countries and counting! Katya is excited to be an instructor at Girls Who Code this summer.
