Welcome to the NYC Ramen Enthusiasts Club. This Meetup group, formed in 2017, is dedicated to ramen fans, supporters, devotees, as well as aficionados. The club is built on values of being open-minded, progressive, kind, and hungry. The goal is to foster a sense of community through food and friendship.
We will go to dinner once a month, or once every two months. Each dinner will be limited to a small group.
Rules: Members must bring cash, you cannot skip a dinner if you RSVP, or change your RSVP if you cannot make it within 48 hours to be courteous to others. Those who cannot follow this simple rule will be removed from the group---so sorry, can't have last minute cancellations and no shows with a dinner meetup. Thank you!
––Date is TBD--- This is postponed, will be in touch with updates soon!
On March 28, 2019, ICHIRAN (一蘭)–famous for their tonkotsu ramen–– launched their NYC Times Square location. ICHIRAN, a renowned chain of Japanese ramen shops, was founded in Fukuoka in 1960, and now has 79 locations across Japan and abroad. Each bowl of Fukuoka-style ramen is customizable and served in a solo dining booth. Each bowl overflows with their aromatic tonkotsu broth--an "all-natural tonkotsu soup that is extracted from 100% pork bones", Hakata-style thin noodles, topped with an original spicy red sauce. And please enjoy more noodles with their unique kae-dama ordering system!
In celebration of their Time Square anniversary date, the NYC Ramen Enthusiasts Club are invited to an exclusive dinner for our members. Eating solo, but together, the group will convene to celebrate this special date, welcomed by Japan’s original tonkotsu ramen movement pioneers.
We will share a special hashtag before the event for everyone to use!
Thank you for attending this special event!
