November Meeting @ GOOGLE!

Hello NY SketchUp Community!

We promised you a special surprise for November, and here it is: Our first Google sponsored meeting, being held at the Google HQ! And we're going to get even more special: we'll also have a presentation from Michael Curry, Makerbot's biggest SketchUp fan, and a live demonstration of the Thing-O-Matic 3D printer, too!

And if that wasn't enough - we're going to be joined by SketchUp team member Mark Harrison, plus we'll also have SketchUp Product Manager John Bacus answer your questions and take your comments via video conference.

Getting Started: A quick overview of SketchUp, with a focus on showing how easy it is to unleash the power of this amazing software.

SketchUp for Visualization: A demo of how architects, interior designers and other design professionals can enhance their work with SU.

MakerBot: Michael Curry of MakerBot talks about his experiences and uses of SketchUp. Michael will have a Thing-O-Matic 3D printer popping out amazing creations during the course of the meeting. MakerBot is one of the most exciting NY startups in recent memory, and their low-cost Thing-O-Matic is a wonderful compliment to SketchUp.

Pizza and networking: Meet your fellow SketchUp users and vendors over a slice.

PhotoSketch: Dr. George Wolberg of Brainstorm Technology shows off the amazing PhotoSketch plugin for SketchUp. PhotoSketch enables architects, designers and 3D content creators to build 3D urban structures directly from photographs. Dr. Wolberg's presentation is a must-see for all manner of design professionals.

Q&A: Ask questions, give feedback, on both SketchUp and NYCSketchUp. We expect to have a member of the SketchUp team with us to give us the inside scoop.
