In this meetup we will choose 3 -4 e-commerce startups and give them a full shopping cart review session to see how they could improve their shopping cart experience and ultimately sell more.

• Is your e-commerce website optimized to sell?

• Is your shopping cart UI properly converting visitors into a interested shoppers?

• What are your major design issues and limitations?

• How are you measuring your conversion?

• Did you setup goals?

• What is your marketing strategy?

We will have an experienced ui/ux designer, a conversion and marketing analyst as well the audience's feedback.

Expert Panel:

Tammy Guy is the founder of a visual design and usability consulting firm (http://tguydesign.com/index.html) focused on strategic brand planning, creative direction and diffusion of user experience problems by applying design theory and usability best practices. Her firm provided consulting services to clients from various industries such as fashion retail, commodity retail, pharmaceutical, insurance, financial services, social networking and others. Services include product evaluation, strategy and planning, creative development and direction and usability consulting. With more then 13 years of experience, Tammy previously worked as the Creative Director at LivePerson, Inc. and was a Design Group Manager at the Hertz Corporation where she art-directed all aspects of graphical application development for all customer facing websites. Tammy has been a frequent guest speaker with the Nielsen Norman Group for the past few years, teaching visual design and usability workshops and been teaching similar courses with General Assembly in NYC.

“Ruben Quinones is the Director of New Media at New York City Search and Social agency Path Interactive (http://www.pathinteractive.com/). In his strategic role, Ruben provides forward thinking leadership for the company’s Digital marketing processes. Responsibilities includes strategic consulting, key project management for client digital strategy and execution, and training. Ruben is also an adjunct instructor at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies Marketing and Public Relations Studies Program, where he teaches a Search Engine Optimization intensive.

As a seasoned online marketing professional, prior to joining Path Interactive, Ruben’s related experience includes founding and marketing one of the Internet’s first vertical search directories, directed at property managers, and was an advertising internet consultant for Verizon Information Services for national brands and small businesses. Ruben is a graduate of Nyack College in Nyack, NY.
