Explore this 5.4-mile loop trail near Cold Spring, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, with 1,391 feet elevation gain, it takes an average of 3 h 1 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through November.

We will have stay in a beachside house near Ocean City, which combines modern and rustic country charm, 4 bedroom, 8 beds (2 full/queen beds, 6 single beds), 2 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and a dedicated workspace. We will max out at 10 people. The house is 10 minutes drive to Ocean City.

• Arrive at Ocean City. After lunch, rent a bike & biking on the boardwalk (extra cost). Check out shops on the boardwalk & try vintage dark ride Haunted House. Hang out at the beach.
• Grocery shopping for breakfasts before heading to the house. After dinner, hang out at Seacret bar, one of the most famous bars in the east coast, and enjoy their live band & DJ spinning latest hits (extra cost).
* Jun 21 Saturday:
• Rent a paddle board (SUP) or a kayak for 2 hours (extra cost), free lesson included. Enjoy the water adventure & the incredible views .
• Enjoy the famed Maryland blue crabs and/or other delicious seafood for lunch. Check out Jolly Roger's amusement park. Happy hours at Fager's Island, and enjoy live band & DJ's mix.
* Jun 22 Sunday:
• Check out the house. Head to Frontier Town Western Theme Park, and/or Assateague Island National Seashore.
• Have lunch & head back to NYC

UNTERMYER GARDENS CONSERVANCY
The Untermyer Gardens Conservancy, in partnership with the City of Yonkers, works to restore, interpret, and enhance Untermyer Park and Gardens and to raise funds to support its annual operation and capital expenses.​This 43-acre public garden, created in 1917 by Samuel and Minnie Untermyer, combines exceptional horticulture, monumental architecture, and multicultural design in a majestic natural setting overlooking the Hudson River. KENSICO DAM PLAZA
The Kensico Dam was built under the old dam that formed Lake Kensico, using stone taken from the adjacent Cranberry Lake Park. More electric power was applied for its creation than any other construction work for the Catskill water supply. The crushing plant at the quarry was the largest ever placed on contract work, and a railroad was built solely for the purpose of carrying debris from the construction site to landfills. At the quarry village, a school operated for the children, sewing classes for the women, and English language classes for the predominately Italian male workers.

This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through November.

FINGER LAKES

WATKINS GLEN STATE PARK
Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. Campers and day-visitors can enjoy the Olympic-size pool, scheduled summer tours through the gorge, tent and trailer campsites, picnic facilities and excellent fishing in nearby Seneca Lake or Catherine Creek, which is renowned for its annual spring run of rainbow trout.
In 2015, the park was chosen from more than 6,000 state parks across the nation as a nominee in the USA TODAY Readers' Choice Poll for Best State Park in the United States, and won third place!

7/4 Friday::
• After lunch, arrive at Buttermilk Creek. It descends more than 500 feet in a series of cascades and rapids. A natural pool at the base of Buttermilk Falls provides swimming with the feel of an old swimming hole. We will hike Buttermilk Falls Gorge & Rim Trail. (1.6 mi & 462 ft gain) (Video)
• The iconic Cornell Botanic Gardens Cascadilla Gorge Trail. It connects downtown Ithaca with the Cornell Campus among one of the most picturesque gorges in the Finger Lakes Region and was voted Ithaca's favorite gorge. (Video)
• Optionally, visit the Cornell Botanic Gardens, a 4,000-acre living museum with diverse plant collections and natural areas. (Video)

• Visiting Watkins Glen, a charming village at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. Experience the natural beauty of Watkins Glen State Park, where we can walk through a gorge with 19 waterfalls and over 800 stone steps (2.4 mi & 558 ft gain) (Video)
• Head to Taughannock Falls State Park, where we can hike to the base of a 215-foot waterfall, the tallest single-drop waterfall east of the Rockies. (Video)
• Optionally, we can rent a Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) or kayak for 1 or 2 hours from Paddle-N-More ($28/$38 per person respectively).
• Finger Lakes has the perfect trail for wine lovers — a wine trail, that is! Make our way down the Seneca Lake Wine Trail to taste world-class, local wines (Video), and enjoy the sunset moments.
7/6 Sunday:
• Checking out the house & bring everything to the van/car.
• Hiking in Robert Treman State Park with beautiful views & falls: We can hike either Rim Trail & Gorge Trail Loop (4.5 mi & 810 ft gain) or Red Pine & Gorge Trail Loop (1.4 miles & 288 feet elev gain) depending on how much time left.
• Rent a bike for 2 hours ($20) from Ithaca Bike Rental, and bike around waterfront trail and the town (Bike Paths in Ithaca).
• Optionally, time permitting, we can drive along the western shore of Cayuga Lake & more wine tasting.
• Have a lunch & head back to NYC.

LETCHWORTH STATE PARK
Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. Hikers can choose among 66 miles of hiking trails. Trails are also available for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Letchworth offers nature, history and performing arts programs, guided walks, tours, a summer lecture series, whitewater rafting, kayaking, a pool for swimming and hot air ballooning. GREEN LAKES STATE PARK
Green Lakes State Park's outstanding features are its two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. Both Round and Green Lakes are meromictic lakes, which means that there is no fall and spring mixing of surface and bottom waters. We will be staying in a recently renovated big duplex near Niagara Falls, 10 bedrooms, 10 beds (8 queen beds, 2 double beds), 5.5 baths, a dedicated workspace, 2 fully stocked kitchen, & 2 living room. We will max out at 15 people. The house is 5 minutes drive to Niagara Falls (15 minutes walk).

8/30 Saturday:
• Arrive at Letchworth State Park around 3 PM after lunch. Enjoy this 3.1-mile out-and-back trail near Portageville, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 44 min to complete, and we will see the beautiful Lower Falls. • We will go grocery shopping for breakfasts, snacks & drinks before checking in the house.
• At night, we will get to see the majesty of Niagara Falls from nearby Goat Island as the roaring waters are brilliantly illuminated against the night sky. (1.5 hours)
8/31 Sunday:
• Whirlpool State Park - Whirlpool State Park overlooks the Niagara Gorge. Have a picnic in the field above before hiking below to see the whirlpool up close. The park includes hiking and biking trails, fishing spots, and a playground. (30 mins)
• Niagara Falls Daytime View from Prospect Point & Observation Tower, and walk around the park (1.5 hours)
• Maid of the Mist (Extra Cost $30.25) - This famous boat ride gets passengers up close and personal with the Niagara Falls! The Maid rides right into the mists thrown up by the roaring cascade as the Niagara River tumbles over the edge of the falls. (40 minutes)
• Option 1: Canadian Side Attractions (Recommended for those with US passport or Enhanced Driver License) - If most people opt not to do Jet Boat Ride, we can visit Canadian side for 2 to 3 hours. Cost of walking across the bridge is $1 (4 quarters or change it at changer machine)
• Option 2: Jet Boat Ride (Extra Cost $66.95 + fuel surcharge) - These exciting boat rides take passengers on a thrilling trip down the Niagara River! This round-trip ride zooms through the Niagara Gorge, and even takes passengers to the famous Whirlpool rapids, all of a custom-built jet boat. This ride starts at 10:00 AM. and every hour on top of the hour until 5 pm (45 minutes per ride).
9/1 Monday:
• Check out the house & bring everything to the van.
• Arrive at Eternal Flame Falls. The flame is known to be visible year-round, though it can be extinguished and needs to be relit occasionally. This natural phenomenon, where natural gas seeps from the ground and is lit, creates a mesmerizing spectacle for visitors.
• Arrive at Green Lakes State Park in the morning, and hike Green Lake to Round Lake Trail for about 1.5 hours. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
• Optional: Afterward, we can visit Clark Reservation State Park & do some short hikes if time allows & everyone is interested.
• After lunch, departing for NYC around 3:00 PM.

SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK
Shenandoah National Park extends along the Blue Ridge Mountains in the U.S. state of Virginia. The Skyline Drive runs its length, and a vast network of trails includes a section of the long-distance Appalachian Trail. Mostly forested, the park features wetlands, waterfalls and rocky peaks like Hawksbill and Old Rag mountains. Shenandoah is home to many bird species, plus deer, squirrels and the elusive black bear. Luray Caverns, previously Luray Cave, is a cave just west of Luray, Virginia, United States, which has drawn many visitors since its discovery in 1878. Afternoon:
· Arrival at Shenandoah National Park: Enter the park through the Front Royal Entrance Station.
· Lunch: Have lunch at a local restaurant in Front Royal or pack a picnic to enjoy at one of the park’s picnic areas.
· Skyline Drive: Begin your scenic drive along Skyline Drive. Stop at a few overlooks such as Signal Knob Overlook and Range View Overlook. Complimentary driving audio guide provided by GuideAlong.

SNOWBIRD SKI & SUMMER RESORT
Snowbird claims to have Utah’s longest ski and ride season, and is usually open from mid-November through May. Snowbird’s 2,500 skiable acres are accessed via 1 tram and 10 chairlifts, including 6 high-speed detachable quads and 4 doubles. The Utah ski resort has a summit of 11,000 feet and a base elevation of 7,760 feet, with a vertical drop of 3,240 feet. Snowbird averages approximately 500 inches of snowfall per year. For skiers and riders looking to develop their skills, Snowbird’s Mountain School is the perfect place to learn, offering everything from private instruction and class lessons to women’s ski and snowboard camps. BRIGHTON RESORT
Bright Ski Resort is a great destination for families, beginners and intermediate skiers. Averaging 500 inches of snow a season, the resort’s 66 trails are covered in light, fluffy snow creating a winter paradise for visitors.
The resort is known for its famous ski and snowboard school with group and private lessons for every ability level. Brighton also offers night skiing with over 200 illuminated acres. LODGING
We will be staying in a huge beautifulhouse in SLC, Utah what many reviewers said it was the best house they have stayed (the same awesome house we stayed last season) with 5 bedrooms, 9 beds (1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 6 single beds), 2 sofa beds, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms with large TVs, and a fully stocked kitchen with brand new appliances. We will max out at 14 people. The home is near major shopping centers, and restaurants. The house is 32 minutes to Snowbird, 10 minutes from SLC airport, and 37 minutes to Brighton Resort.
