How to get Press for your business
One of the most effective tools for promoting your business is public relations, also known as P.R. This is when you get your company mentioned or featured in a press article whether it be print, broadcast or online. How well you go about getting PR can be tricky so here to help us navigate press releases and building relationships with journalists are some veterans of the industry. SONIA TALATI - this Columbia grad has been a reporter at The Wall Street Journal, KEZI-TV and is currently at Barron's where she focuses on stories about wealth and lifestyle. She also anchors two video series, the Daily Download and Barron's Next Minute. SID DINSAY – a seasoned journalist for NY1 News himself before joining the PR side for the Mayor’s Office, DKC Public Relations, Mount Sinai Hospitals and many more. He is currently the Vice-President for Health and Wellness at Romio. CHERYL DUNCAN – A veteran public relations strategist with strong experience in arts and culture, publishing, education, non-profit, as well as event management. Clients have included Isaac Hayes, The Jackie Robinson Museum, The NYC Korean Day Festival, the Reginald Lewis Foundation and many more. CHRISTINA DC PASTOR – has been in journalist for over 20 years and is currently the publisher of The FilAm, a print and online magazine based in New York. What we're about

Public Group

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

This group is dedicated to people who work or aspire to work at a non-profit organization. Getting to know one another through volunteering, charity events, seminars, or just learning from each other can be a life enriching process. Please help bring more awareness to the public of opportunities where we as a group can make an impact to our community and friends. Most of all, show your support in your fellow members and events.

I also want to dedicate appreciation and recognition to those who work 7 days a week endlessly putting others above their own needs. This means also to create fun in their personal time, if any.

Let's build a better community TOGETHER! Participate in the nonprofit movement, be the leader that you always imagined yourself to be, together we can make a bigger impact in our socio- economic norms and mold a better future.

Disclaimer: Please be fully responsible of your own health needs and take your reservations seriously. We are not here in the business to make money or in any ways "Experts" in any of our activities. We come as volunteers to participate and brain storm and to have fun. All contributions are welcome, and active participation is expected.
