This group is for athletes of all levels who are interested in enhancing their individual sports performance while reducing their injury risk.

We will be focusing on an athlete's ability to accelerate, decelerate and change direction. These are some of the most important aspects in sports.

We will take monthly fitness testing to see the progress of each athlete.

Outdoor Soccer Conditioning Session at McCarren Park - 10:00am

This Sports Conditioning Session meets from 10:00am to 11:00am, instructed by Tricia Somma, M.A. and B.S. in Exercise Science. This is an open level fitness class, appropriate for beginner to advanced athletes. The training focus is to increase the athlete's strength, speed, power, agility, and quickness. There is a great emphasis on proper training form during the sessions to help decrease risk of injury on and off the field. The class will include a dynamic warm up, body weight exercises, speed and agility training, and running conditioning. The class also includes soccer drills that focus on increasing ball control, dribbling speed and passing accuracy. Modifications to these soccer focused drills can be easily made depending on which sport you are more interested in training for. **Please wear sneakers or cleats. **We will be meeting at the turf field inside of the track near the north side goal post. Indoor Strength and Conditioning Session for Sports at 7:00pm in LIC
