Free Event: Socrates Sculpture Garden and Astoria Park

• Take the N or 7 trains to Queensborough Plaza, transfer to the free Shuttle Bus servicing the N line. Get off at Broadway and 31st Street. Walk West on Broadway from 31st Avenue to Vernon Blvd:

• We will make self-introductions become friends, and then it will be more fun to walk through Socrates Sculpture Garden, North through Astoria to Astoria Park, hopefully arriving theirs at Dusk.

Let's get together to enjoy the beautiful view of the Sculptures, the East River, Manhattan, as well as the Hell’s Gate and Robert F Kennedy (Triborough) Bridge and get some exercise while making many new friends. We are going to walk North, ending at Astoria Park, then return to the N and Q trains at the Ditmars Blvd station.

We will provide 48 hours notice if weather conditions require cancellation.

We will be walking along the river; please bring a light jacket or windbreaker at minimum

There are eating establishments, convenience and grocery stores between the Broadway Station the Sculpture Garden. There is also a Costco with Cafeteria, Bathroom, and water vending machines by the Garden. There are no places to eat or use the restroom during the walk; please be prepared.
