NYVR (Event at RLab focused on Immersive Capture)

Details
I am pleased to announce the next NYVR Meetup will be a partnered event with the RLab focusing on immersive capturing technologies.
The Meetup will highlight the experience and projects that were created during an upcoming Motion Capture Master Class at the RLab. Todd Bryant will host a discussion on the Optitrack system. In addition, we will be featuring several additional demo’s and presentations that showcase different forms of capture for digital content including:
Ben Nunez - Evercoast
Evercoast is a computer vision and 3D sensing software company focused on volumetric capture, providing an integrated software and cloud rendering platform for real-time and recorded holographic content using off-the-shelf hardware for both studio installations and truly portable setups.
Gavan Gravesen - RADiCAL
RADiCAL is an AI-powered 3D animation solution that requires no hardware or coding knowledge. Our mission is to support independent 3D content creation. We will be demonstrating our end-to-end solution on-prem. www.getrad.co
Alex Coulombe - "That Kind of Guy" - Volcap / Mocap Tech Demo
This experience highlights the pros and cons of motion capture versus volumetric capture. We filmed Shon Arieh-Lerer's comedic piece simultaneously with DepthKit and Vive trackers (using IKINEMA Orion) and during playback you can toggle between both options.
VRjetpack Game will be demo’ing https://www.vrjetpackgame.com - "VR Jetpack Game" - Physics-based VR with full freedom of flight and multiplayer combat. In conjunction with the evening meetup, RLab is also offering a 20% discount on the Motion Capture Master Class to members of the NYVR meetup community. The workshop will occur three weeks prior to the meetup and requires a separate registration thru the following link. https://motioncapturemasterclass.splashthat.com/. While registering for the Master Class, put in "NYVR2019" under Affiliation for the 20% discount.
Hope to see everyone there!
