2016 MEETING AGENDA
The tentative calendar for 2016 meetings at the Will County Farm Bureau is as follows:
Becoming a member of the Will County Beekeepers Association has a growing list of benefits. As a fairly new organization, we are still establishing many of our goals and activities. Your voice in our planning meetings and your time volunteering to further our reach is greatly appreciated. Here is what we can currently offer members:
Membership into the Illinois State Beekeepers Association (a $10 value)
Vote on organizational issues and in our election process
Ability to serve as an officer or on the board of directors
Attendance to our regular meetings, outings and activities
Education, mentoring and discussion with other local beekeepers
Access to a members-only area of our website
Access to our honey extractor
We are working on other benefits such as:
Assistance working with villages regarding beekeeping ordinances
Group discounts on bees and supplies
Participation in educational and competitive events.
The Fox Valley Electric Auto Association (FVEAA) holds regular meetings on the 3rd Friday of each month. You do not need to be a member to attend. We welcome everyone that wants to learn more about electric vehicles (and related topics). Come meet our membership and see their EV's and ask any questions you want. We will help you convert a gas-burning car to electric power or answer questions on dealer EVs as well. http://www.fveaa.org
NOTE the club meeting location can VARY month by month so please check the web site a couple days before the meeting! Thanks
These meetings are a great place to meet extremely friendly, knowledgeable and experienced gardeners in our community, as well as help with gardens plots at the community garden area to help feed our community.
Meetings are free and open to the public, but membership ($20) (http://www.napervillecommunitygardeners.club/) and donations will help support our community outreach including scholarships, community gardens, and educational events such as these, can be done at the meetings and are greatly appreciated!
Come and join us for these interesting garden presentations:
First Monday of the month typically.
