Virtual Kickoff - Global Game Jam 2022

This event will be the online virtual kickoff for the 2022 GGJ in Nashville. We'll go over the unique structure of the 2022 GGJ, provide an orientation and overview of Nashville's GGJ events, and let attendees pitch game ideas and network to form teams.

The presentation will take place in the Watch Party voice channel of the Discord server.

The 2022 GGJ will take place from January 20 - 30, 2022 and the theme will be publicly available before then on January 16. The spirit of the event is that jam sites hold their own 48-hour event during that 10-day time frame for their local jam site.

For the Nashville jam site, the current plan is to kick off the GGJ on January 20 and then allow teams to choose their own time to work on their game during the 10-day time frame. There will be a final presentations event for the Nashville jam site on Sunday January 30. Pay attention to the discussions in Discord and watch out for the presentations' event on Meetup and Facebook.

Throughout the 10-day span, Nashville Game Developers will host other in-person events to give participants multiple chances to network, find teammates, and collaborate in person. Again, stay tuned to the NashGameDev Discord, Meetup, and Facebook for announcements of those events.
