Vanderbilt LASIR Lab Road Trip
We're taking a road trip! Research scientist, David Koester, has offered to give us a tour of some of the amazing things that the Vanderbilt University Laboratory for Systems Integrity and Reliability (LASIR) group has developed. If you were at Maker Faire, you likely were wowed by the accelerometer work they are developing for detecting strikes against very large objects (i.e. helicopters). This is going to be a meetup you do not want to miss! Here's some recent news about things the LASIR group has been recognized for achieving: https://engineering.vanderbilt.edu/news/category/lasir Note that this is literally a road trip and we will be meeting at their lab and not at the NTC as we usually do. We will be back at the NTC next month. There is plenty of free parking next to the lab. We'll begin the meeting as always with show & tell. So, bring what you've been working on and tell everyone about it. Need help with your project? Bring it for ask & tell. Food & drinks will be served at 6PM. Show & Tell and the presentation will start no later than 6:30. Come join the fun and invite your friends!
