What we’re about

Cohousing is a new type of “intentional neighborhood” that combines private homes or apartments with common facilities to create a more socially rewarding and environmentally sustainable community.

Nashville  has one completed cohousing community, called Germantown Commons. This is an urban cohousing community with 25 units located on the north side of downtown Nashville.

The Nashville Cohousing Meetup is meant to support the goal of adding a second cohousing community for Nashville or Middle Tennessee in the coming years.

There are several sub-groups in the Nashville area with an interest in forming a new cohousing community. Members of this meetup will receive notices about upcoming group activities.  Periodic meetings may include educational topics, community planning, social potlucks, viewing videos or movies, and site tours for possible cohousing building sites.

Our group has been in existence for over a year and we always welcome new faces! :-)
