Let's have another group sit. (Sunday evening edition)
How this works: - We get together at 8pm, set up our cushions, then we start a timer and sit for an hour. There will typically be light chit-chat afterwards. - We don't do dharma talks, or group check-ins -- we're really just focused on "sit quietly together", and we go our separate ways. - We expect that you have a meditation practice, but would be willing to give basic instructions on breathing meditation if you would like that. Some of the people have taken S.N. Goenka-style Vipassana courses (10-day courses, as described on, but various attendees have not. Logistics: We only have a few cushions at the moment, so bring your own if you have them! DEFINITELY BRING CUSHIONS :-) The location is a private residence, actually the back building *behind* a private residence (and which is also a private residence). Feel free to park in the driveway (but don't block anyone in), or on the street in front of the house. Come to the back and let yourself in -- be quiet if it's after 10am, as the sit has probably already started!

What we're about

This is an unofficial (i.e., not sanctioned by or affiliated with Vipassana meditation group. Some of us are old students of S.N. Goenka's Vipassana teaching tradition, but we also have other meditators who are members and who come out to sit. We meet up periodically to sit together in silent meditation.
